Nike experimented with the Air Force 1 a lot in the Fall of last year, most likely trying a few ideas in preparation for the silhouette's 40th anniversary. In October, the brand sliced into the Swoosh, completely changing one of the shoe's key aspects; now, the design is back, albeit with a few minor changes to the overall build.
First and foremost, the shoe has been largely restored to its former state. The embroidered checks, redesigned tongue, and pull tab remain intact despite the removal of the additional overlays around the toe.
All of the above is dressed in a dark black colorway, with the exception of the blue of the small logos, which contrasts with the grey finish of the midsole and the carbon fiber-like weave of the side Swoosh.
Here's a peek at the impending Nike Air Force 1 up close and personal. Sizes are expected to appear at Nike.com and select stores soon, so stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
