Here's a pair of sneakers with a little history starring Kobe Bryant. The Nike Kobe 6 will see more representation with an upcoming "Pop" colorway which debuted in 2011. The simple "Pop" colorway really stands out on the interesting and bumpy Proto design. Let's rewind history for a moment. The "Pop" colorway came out the year Kobe was seeking a three peat for the second time in his career in 2011.
Let's take a closer look at the Kobe 6 Proto "Pop". The colorway comprises of black, yellow and white which all contribute equally to the design aesthetic. White mostly colors the uppers, including the tongue with black making appearances on the Nike swoosh, top of the tongue and heel, and yellow having dominance on the collar lining and inner part of the shoe.
The white and black upper has a pronounced scaly texture in imitation of snakes. Black dominates the midsole while yellow takes up residence on forefoot outsole and white on the heel outsole.
The Kobe 6 Proto "Pop" will release in Asia on April 16th, and release dates in other parts of the world have not been given as yet.
