Air Jordan 4 “Flight Club” Is a Throwback Done Right

Air Max Evo "Hyper Grape"

The Vapormax series is known for its colors and highly experimental designs. It's not afraid to try new things, and not afraid to add some weight or bulkiness to it's frame. The series doesn't mind looking like a bowl of fruit or jelly beans, and that's one of the reasons the air max hasn't died. It keeps giving us fresh takes and eye-candy visuals.

The Vapormax line functions as an evolution to the Air Max, especially considering the more futuristic outsoles. The colors however have dipped into the realm of old classics, seemingly mixing new and old, which works really well. The Vapormax Hyper Grape nods to the 80s and 90s, using a trio of colors, hyper grape, hyper pink, and teal familiar to those years. The Vapormax Hyper Grape is so 80s/90s.

Let's take a closer look at these retro inspired kicks. The neutrals clad upper contrast with the splash of colors throughout, namely the grape swoosh with green lining. Nike in purple and Vapormax in white on a pink background colors the tongue. Splotches of green and grape runs along the midsole, heading to the heel, with splashes of pink on the translucent outsole.

The Vapormax Evo Hyper Grape will be available for purchase in the near future.

Nike Air Barrage are Back from the 90s

It looks like turf training shoes from the 90s are still in, because Nike is paying homage to those iconic kicks that were released before the millennium. If you were born after the year 2000 chances are you don’t understand their hype or significance. And Nike does well to capture the design aesthetics of the period that the original Air Barrage Mid was made in. The attention-grabbing, loud colorways are evidence of that. The rubber sole has Nike air units that absorb the stress of your steps. The classic comfort of the original is included, because of the plush, mesh uppers and padded collars for all-day wearability. The Velcro portrays a nice old touch. Let’s take a look at each colorway. With the base green colorway, the vibrant orange coloring of the Nike logo and other parts against the green gives off a bold, retro look. It’s a great compliment of colors, and probably the most attention-grabbing of the group. The base blue and white colorways look like the second...
