The Hype is Real: Travis Scott x Fragment Design x Air Jordan 1 Low OG

Air Jordan Strong Pro "Chicago"

Chicago red will always have a place in basketball sneaker culture due to windy city's dominance in the sport in the 90s, led by Michael Jordan. The Jordan brand hasn't shied away from reusing the iconic colors.

Although the Jordan name has perhaps diminished in recent years with the rise of the Lebron brand and name, it will likely last for years to come and Chicago red will maintain its iconic status.

The latest Jordan to feature the famed colorway comes to us from 1998. It's the Jordan Pro Strong. Note that this silhouette has had a couple of re-releases. The Pro is inspired by a more popular silhouette, the Jordan 13, which is apparent in a side by side comparison. It still has much to offer and the differences still make it stand out against the 13 as its own thing.

Let's take a closer look at the Jordan Pro Strong Chicago Red. The Jordan classic was a viable option for big men back in the late nineties, offering a durable and stable high top. The minimalist uppers feature smooth and tumbled leather, with tumbled leather overlaying the smooth leather.

Upon the toe box lies a red "S" with the white jumpman logo. The "S" may well mean "strong," which is also featured on the heel. "Jordan" runs all the way up the tongue. The red midsole and white outsoles look like a squiggly piece of abstract art.

This Jordan Pro Strong Chicago will launch this summer.

Back in 2021, Travis and Fragment teamed up with Jordan for a killer one-two punch: a high-top and a low-top Air Jordan 1 that flipped the script on the classic silhouette. Remember thos...

Rocking a pair of pristine white Air Jordan 11 cleats emblazoned with “Jawn Air” on the tongue, Hurts turned the gridiron into his personal runway, blending NFL grit with sneaker culture flair. The cleats, a player-exclusive (PE) design from Jordan Brand, quickly went viral on social media, with fans and sneakerheads alike dubbing them “fire” and “cold” in equal measure.  Philadelphia’s own Eliot Shorr-Parks captured the moment on X, sharing a close-up snap that highlighted the custom detailing, while Complex Sneakers broke it down as a fresh drop in Hurts’ growing lineup of personalized kicks.  But what makes these Jordan 11s more than just another game-day ...
