Much hype has been around Adidas's NASA collaboration, producing the Ultra Boost DNA line. Ambitions in space highlights Adidas's forward thinking, their goal to make next generation sneakers. On the other hand, the three stripes company has been in business for a long, long time with a resume of classics as good as Nike and Reebok. The classic Adidas look will not die, apparently.
These kinds of sneakers remind us of the company's legacy and the simple aesthetic that made them popular back in the day. We're getting a double dose of nostalgia with the Adidas Orbit High and Low with both versions sporting a Velcro strap. The '84 sneakers have had some great years during that time period, the peak of it's popularity on the court.
Let's take a closer look at the Adidas Orbit High and the Adidas Orbit Low. With a 37 year history, this is classic adidas, built up with neutral colors. The white panels show some aging with the trefoil logo in grey on the side, with "adidas" beneath it. The usual three stripes take residence on the side paneling, this time in suede.
The Adidas Orbit will be available on March 20th at Adidas.com and partner retailers.
