In China, sneaker business has been good for for Adidas, as some of its releases are doing better over there than in the U.S and rest of the world. Case in point, Derrick Rose's line of sneakers do considerably better in China than anywhere else.
The sneaker market is huge in the Eastern country and very kind to basketball players. That's where NBA players go to die, or live out the rest of their career when the Western world deems them washed up. The Chinese love basketball, and sneaker companies like Adidas try to show some love back on a yearly basic.
The "Made in China" collection is going in a different direction from previous years. As of now, we know the collection will consist of the D.O.N Issue #2 and the D Rose 11 which have bright abstract patterns.
Let's take a closer look at the D Rose 11's new makeover. The uppers are the simplest part of the sneakers, dressed in black. Other parts of the D Rose 11 are not so simple, following an abstract design of the collection's theme. The dark orange, purple and black abstraction reside on the collar, midsoles, and tongue areas.
The Adidas "Made in China" Collection will be available early 2021.
