The company constantly bags popular artists like Travis Scott to sport their brand of iconic skateboard sneakers, and this is just an addition to their library. Travis Scott’s success with their other sneaker lines has most likely prompted this new collaboration.
The Travis Scott x Nike SB Dunk Low by way of Travis’ latest music video gives evidence of the design. There’s a combination of light and darker panels, oversized laces, paisley patterned side panels, and a two-toned sole. Travis gave more proof of this unofficial shoe when he shared an Instagram image of them on his feet. He’s known to tease upcoming collaborations via Instagram and in music videos, so we know this is legit.
This collab seemed destined to happen due to Travis’ fan base and followers. Not to mention his shoe selling ability. Nike certainly intends to get the best out of him and major cash flow. He’s the top five shoe sellers and promoters in the influencer industry.
There hasn’t been any official news from Nike or Travis, but from past experiences, we know this type of silence is the norm. The rumors come, then speculation, then teasers, then the official news. Right now, we’re just relying on rumors, which are pointing to a 2020 release. Further speculation narrows it down to a March release date and will cost $150.
