Off-White X Air Jordan 5 | Release Date & Pics

The Nike and Off-white deal has made it long enough for Air Jordan’s 30th anniversary. Jordan 5’s go way back to the good old days, originally released in 1990 and the era of ”The Goat.” The retro version will have it's distinct white, fire red, and black colorways, and be released in remembrance of Michael Jordan scoring 29 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Air Jordan 5 rumors have had at times been unreliable. The rumors of such a drop caused massive speculation but we got official product information at Paris Fashion Week.

At the event models and Virgil himself advertised the Off White x Air Jordan 5 on their feet. And now the pictures are rolling in and we can comment on the design. It’s the talk of the town after Paris Fashion Week’s winter/fall presentation. The closer looks are tantalizing, giving us vibes of Virgil’s ghosting series. The elements are certainly there like Easter eggs for us to admire, and appreciate the way back machine aesthetics.

Of course, we have the famed Air Jordan silhouette, to begin with. More features are the OG black metallic colorway, and translucent TPE deconstructed design. The shoe has classic midfoot cages which now have circular cutouts and complimented with showy black stitching. It has a black textile mesh upper.

As with all Off-white collaborations, they got some shine with their brand laces and the company’s text on the inner netting side panel. The tongue has 3M reflective qualities with a red jump man logo adding to the legend and authenticity. To finalize the Jordan 5, they stitched the “23” on the heels and paired it with an aged translucent outsole.

It's been about 36 years since the official release of the first Air Jordans, and now we have Off-white joining the bandwagon for this back to the past release.

The Off-White x Air Jordan 5 will be released on February 15 at select retailers and Nike. The scheduled price is $225.
